Why Choose a Certified Trial Attorney

It's that simple. In February 2005, only about 1,583 lawyers in New Jersey (which held 80,214 lawyers active at that time) had earned the right to call themselves "Certified" in their area of the law. "Certified" isn't a very exciting word, but it represents something special.

To become licensed to practice law in New Jersey, you must graduate law school and pass the New Jersey Bar Exam. To become Certified, however, in one of the four areas of the law in which New Jersey recognizes Certification, you must do more.

An attorney granted Certification must pass an additional examination, have been favorably evaluated by judges and attorneys familiar with his work, and must have demonstrated a "substantial" level of experience in trial law.

If it was easy, everyone would do it.
